Charlie Coupez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 6th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Antonin Lavit. Oignies's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Corentin Compagnon struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Antonin Lavit didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rognac. 17 minutes into the match, Rognac's Alban Dumaine sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Antonin Lavit narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 18th minute Corentin Compagnon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonin Lavit saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Faustin Gouy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alban Dumaine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Antonin Lavit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the game, Bertrand Sarda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rognac's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oignies the free kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Corentin Compagnon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 63rd match minute, Rognac was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Chastagner to maneuver through the defense. Antonin Lavit showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alban Dumaine, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Corentin Compagnon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antonin Lavit read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Oignies's Willy Menet in the 73rd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Jules Moisan was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Rognac through an amazing save. Antonin Lavit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corentin Compagnon in the 78th minute of play. The Rognac supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Oignies's performance. The match ended with a win for Oignies.
