Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Eddy Condé made the kick off and thus started the match. Clement Olive showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eddy Condé, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. After a rather tough play, Pugey's Bob Geoffray got a free kick in the 9th minute. Clement Olive showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faudel Torre in the 12th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Pugey's Joffrey Constans slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gaspard Bouteloup. That made the score 1-0 after 15 minutes of play. In the 21st minute John Cazes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspard Bouteloup saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaspard Bouteloup made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Cazes in the 23rd minute of play. Joffrey Constans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th minute, Bertrand Toullec hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Pugey's Gaspard Bouteloup threw himself towards the right post 32 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from John Cazes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 33 minutes, Ange Blondet mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vénissieux and the Pugey players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 33 played minutes Vénissieux got a freekick which was hit by Ange Blondet. Joffrey Constans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Gaspard Bouteloup made a huge save. If John Cazes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for John Cazes to strike the kick off in the second half. Joffrey Constans hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 57 minutes into the match, Vénissieux's goal looked a bit too open when John Cazes came free, but Gaspard Bouteloup reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 61 played minutes Pugey got a freekick which was hit by Joffrey Constans. John Cazes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gaspard Bouteloup read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. If Joffrey Constans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute, Ange Blondet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When John Cazes came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Pugey fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that John Cazes couldn't finish the play. Joffrey Constans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olivier Bardy hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After 84 minutes, Dave Dion mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vénissieux and the Pugey players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 83rd minute of the game. One of Vénissieux:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pugey:s goal. In the 85th minute there was a penalty for Pugey. Jean-Francois Ruffin stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gaspard Bouteloup. 2-0. In the 90th match minute, Vénissieux was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tony Frémaux to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute of the match Jean-Francois Ruffin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gaspard Bouteloup skillfully saved the ball. Gaspard Bouteloup showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joffrey Constans in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 97th match minute, Vénissieux was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olivier Bardy to maneuver through the defense. John Cazes spun around in front of the goal 99 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Vénissieux's goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Pugey had won after a very even match.
