Simandres's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arguel the free kick. The supporters of Arguel booed when Simandres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnaud Mandon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Arguel's Ahmid Le Saout tried to score from far away in the 34th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Teddy Margueritte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alphonse Houeix was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Faustin Rohmer's late challenge caught a Arguel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
