In the 5thth minute of the game Frédéric Becue who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arbrisseau's Christian Marquer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alphonse Houeix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcel Ferran in the 8th minute of play. Alphonse Houeix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barnabe Delcambre in the 11th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robert Graffin got free with Christian Marquer in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alphonse Houeix didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Barnabe Delcambre went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Arbrisseau's Jean-Baptiste Tissandier got a free kick in the 30th minute. Alphonse Houeix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Ferran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd match minute, Simandres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stanislas Dubas to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Marcel Ferran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alphonse Houeix was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. In the 46th minute, Stanislas Dubas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arbrisseau's Barnabe Delcambre got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Simandres players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Arbrisseau were winning 0-3.
The wind increased when Robert Graffin made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Barnabe Delcambre ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alphonse Houeix was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Graffin in the 57th minute of play forced Arbrisseau's goalkeeper Christian Marquer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcel Ferran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcel Ferran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alphonse Houeix having to interfere. Barnabe Delcambre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Alphonse Houeix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcel Ferran's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alphonse Houeix read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Robert Graffin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Christian Marquer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcel Ferran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alphonse Houeix having to interfere. After 77 minutes, Stanislas Dubas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Simandres and the Arbrisseau players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Simandres getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Stanislas Dubas hit a great ball. In the 81st minute Barnabe Delcambre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alphonse Houeix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Marcel Ferran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Simandres getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Arnaud Mandon hit a great ball. Alphonse Houeix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcel Ferran in the 91st minute of the match. Marcel Ferran who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Alphonse Houeix when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Simandres supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Arbrisseau's performance. The match ended with a win for Arbrisseau.
