After 5 played minutes, Domois's Noe Rozet shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alphonse Houeix came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Domois reached it. A collision led to Simandres getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Arnaud Mandon hit a great ball. When Frédéric Becue came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Simandres fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frédéric Becue couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florian Kauffmann in the 14th minute of play forced Simandres's goalkeeper Alphonse Houeix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Simandres's Stanislas Dubas got a free kick in the 15th minute. Florian Kauffmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Domois booed when Simandres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kamel Larsonneur didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute of the match Domois got a corner. Simandres's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alphonse Houeix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the game, Domois's Florian Kauffmann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alphonse Houeix made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 32 minutes into the match, Domois's Florian Kauffmann sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alphonse Houeix narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alphonse Houeix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yannick Sommer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Simandres's Frédéric Becue slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alexis Paoli. That made the score 1-2 after 40 minutes of play. Robert Graffin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Florian Kauffmann to strike the kick off in the second half. Alban Dufrene charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alban Dufrene the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alexis Paoli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frédéric Becue, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. If Robert Graffin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yannick Sommer's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 62ndth minute, Alphonse Houeix skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The referee ignored Simandres's protests and gave Stanislas Dubas a yellow card for diving instead. Simandres's Alphonse Houeix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florian Kauffmann in the 65th minute of play. After 65 played minutes Simandres got a freekick which was hit by Stanislas Dubas. If Yannick Sommer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Stanislas Dubas kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Domois defense, Frédéric Becue kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alexis Paoli. The Domois fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alexis Paoli should have stopped the shot. When Yannick Sommer came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Domois fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yannick Sommer couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yannick Sommer got free with Alphonse Houeix in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Robert Graffin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
