With an all-out effort, Buchelay's Calvin Guillou threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Stephane Diss, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Etienne Thimonier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baptiste Dutertre in the 20th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrien Tourneux in the 30th minute of play forced Buchelay's goalkeeper Etienne Thimonier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Adrien Tourneux came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Frelinghien fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrien Tourneux couldn't finish the play. Baptiste Dutertre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Etienne Thimonier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Etienne Thimonier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baptiste Dutertre in the 37th minute of play. The supporters of Buchelay booed when Frelinghien was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregoire Lardenois didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Frelinghien's Calvin Guillou got control of the ball when David Dupuich tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stephane Diss stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Stephane Diss managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buchelay's supporters rose to their feet, but Stephane Diss was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Calvin Guillou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 57 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Buchelay! Buchelay's Etienne Thimonier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Buchelay from getting a goal against them. Jean-Christophe Barra's late challenge caught a Buchelay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jean-Christophe Barra helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Frelinghien's Jean-Christophe Barra got a free kick in the 68th minute. Calvin Guillou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Dupuich in the 70th minute of play. Frelinghien's Adrien Tourneux got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Calvin Guillou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stephane Diss in the 79th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Frelinghien had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
