After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Michel Guerrier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecully's supporters rose to their feet, but Michel Guerrier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roland Presse breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Axel Fontenelle fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecully's protests and gave Axel Fontenelle a yellow card for diving instead. After 60 played minutes Ecully got a freekick which was hit by Marc Lebosse. If Jean-Marc Ripoche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roman Daumont hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Adrien Serot kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thomas Biais got free with Tommy Vaillant in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
