Christopher Delay kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Jordy Marconnet was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 9th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Portiragnes's Jordy Marconnet shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 13th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Tommy Vaillant but with some difficulty. If Michel Guerrier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guy Emonet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Guerrier, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Timothe Betton dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tommy Vaillant, 1-0. A collision led to Portiragnes getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Jarod George hit a great ball. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portiragnes's goalkeeper Guy Emonet, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adrien Serot hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Timothe Betton might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tommy Vaillant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Timothe Betton ran back to his position shaking his head. Tommy Vaillant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timothe Betton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Axel Fontenelle's late challenge caught a Portiragnes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Axel Fontenelle helped the player get up and apologised. Axel Fontenelle hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. If Jean-Marc Ripoche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 63 minutes, Guy Emonet successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 65th minute, Jean-Marc Ripoche made a precise shot to the right of Guy Emonet. Portiragnes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Tommy Vaillant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timothe Betton in the 72nd minute of play. In the 77th minute, Reynald Madelaine got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Michel Guerrier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guy Emonet having to interfere. Barthelemy Eyraud's late challenge caught a Ecully's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Barthelemy Eyraud helped the player get up and apologised. Barthelemy Eyraud kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Michel Guerrier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Ecully booed when Portiragnes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Levasseur didn't get a good kick on the ball. Portiragnes's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
