Adrien Serot hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, Beaupuy's Alfred Boisson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Valentin Madeleine recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tommy Vaillant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raoul Marcotte hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Ecully's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bob Chabaud in the 28th minute. After taking down the ball on Ecully's corner Raoul Marcotte fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Constantin Eudes quite easily take care of the ball. Patrick Laloux struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Tommy Vaillant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beaupuy. Axel Fontenelle's late challenge caught a Beaupuy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Axel Fontenelle helped the player get up and apologised. Jean-Marc Ripoche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Constantin Eudes made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Jean-Marc Ripoche sent off a good shot on target. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Patrick Laloux made a kick off. Jean-Marc Ripoche struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. If Michel Guerrier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute, Marc Lebosse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68thth minute of the game Patrick Laloux who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecully's Tommy Vaillant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Ecully's Arnaud Jourdain got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 72nd minute, Alfred Boisson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 73 minutes, Michel Guerrier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecully's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michel Guerrier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Patrick Laloux recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Constantin Eudes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Marc Ripoche in the 80th minute of play. Beaupuy's Constantin Eudes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michel Guerrier in the 84th minute of play. If Jean-Marc Ripoche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Guerrier in the 96th minute of play forced Beaupuy's goalkeeper Constantin Eudes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Beaupuy eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
