The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jean-Charles Terrier to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Reyrieux's goal looked a bit too open when Louison Ruch came free, but Brandon Andres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Frederic Lanza came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Béner fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frederic Lanza couldn't finish the play. Through an outstanding action, after 62 minutes, Gildas Mugnier successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Reyrieux's Brandon Andres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederic Lanza in the 66th minute of play. Pierre-Emmanuel Monteiro's late challenge caught a Béner's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pierre-Emmanuel Monteiro helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Reyrieux's Pierre-Emmanuel Monteiro got a free kick in the 67th minute. 68 minutes into the game, Béner's Louison Ruch nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Brandon Andres made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 72 minutes into the match, Reyrieux's goal looked a bit too open when Frederic Lanza came free, but Brandon Andres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brandon Andres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frederic Lanza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brandon Andres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Louison Ruch in the 89th minute of play. The supporters of Reyrieux booed when Béner was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yvan Albertini didn't get a good kick on the ball.
