When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Prosper Abel sped through Saliers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Florentin Lebrun. Kevin Delbecq received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Dimitri Achour tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Denis Salomez scored 1-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dimitri Achour, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 34th match minute, Saliers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darren Bourel to maneuver through the defense. Maximilien Poussard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Florentin Lebrun made a huge save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Prosper Abel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 70th minute Prosper Abel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florentin Lebrun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maximilien Poussard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Florentin Lebrun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
