Thanks to some nice moves Hubert Berthelier could shoot a difficult shot in the 9th minute, which Pierre-Antoine Andraud however easily saved by the left post. Edgard Aubel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Pierre-Antoine Andraud tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Ornex's goalkeeper Pierre-Antoine Andraud had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hubert Berthelier. In the 19th minute, Rémi Chênel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ferdinand Lamare succeeded in the game's 20th minute to get real power on a long shot . Thumeries's Élie Michard hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 0-1! If Ferdinand Laurin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Élie Michard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferdinand Laurin, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 26 minutes into the game, Prosper Carrier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Thumeries's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ornex the free kick. In the 26th match minute, Thumeries was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prosper Carrier to maneuver through the defense. Hector Wolf recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Thumeries's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Wolf came free, but Élie Michard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ornex's Pierre-Antoine Andraud played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Aubel in the 36th minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ferdinand Laurin made a kick off. If Edgard Aubel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 64 minutes into the match, Thumeries's Hubert Berthelier sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pierre-Antoine Andraud narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Ornex booed when Thumeries was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Aubel didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinand Laurin in the 93rd minute of play forced Thumeries's goalkeeper Élie Michard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Edgard Aubel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pierre-Antoine Andraud. Ornex's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgard Aubel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Ornex's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
