Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Yann Farcy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remi Laffitte in the 3rd minute of the match. Eschentzwiller's Jean-Charles Landier was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Yann Farcy in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Serge Hirel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After recieving a nice pass, Eschentzwiller's Jean-Charles Landier tried to score from far away in the 11th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Dimitri Vaucher kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Donatien Herbet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franklin Landelle having to interfere. Danny Barou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tommy Riff was shown his second yellow card after 31 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 32 played minutes Ascq got a freekick which was hit by Tommy Riff. Serge Hirel's late challenge caught a Eschentzwiller's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Serge Hirel helped the player get up and apologised. Serge Hirel hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Chris Poiret hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. The corner led Eschentzwiller's Jean-Charles Landier to fire away a dangerous shot which Yann Farcy despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Charles Goutte took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Yann Farcy. Ascq's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Danny Barou could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Yann Farcy made a huge save. Serge Hirel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The wind increased when Serge Hirel made the kick off in the second half. Chris Poiret kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Eschentzwiller's Remi Laffitte managed to work through Ascq's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Remi Laffitte dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. A hard shot 61 in the game by Chris Poiret from a close distance when the talented Franklin Landelle managed to make a qualified save. Eschentzwiller's players were relieved. If Serge Hirel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yann Farcy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danny Barou, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Danny Barou in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yann Farcy saved Ascq from getting behind. Franklin Landelle made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Serge Hirel sent off a good shot on target. Serge Hirel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Franklin Landelle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Serge Hirel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Franklin Landelle made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jean-Charles Landier during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Eschentzwiller getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Jean-Charles Landier hit a great ball. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ascq's goalkeeper Yann Farcy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Franklin Landelle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Serge Hirel in the 91st minute. Danny Barou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 98 minutes of play, Eschentzwiller's Danny Barou made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Yann Farcy was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eschentzwiller's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
