Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Denain's Augustin Cayol started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Moise Porquet kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Arthur Jauneau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Tanguy Queval tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arthur Jauneaus short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Tanguy Queval to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Moise Porquet's late challenge caught a Peurye's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Moise Porquet helped the player get up and apologised. Moise Porquet hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 24th match minute, Peurye was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stephane Comby to maneuver through the defense. Gilles Hanin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronald Cuvillier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augustin Cayol, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dan Henaff stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dan Henaff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tanguy Queval having to interfere. In the 57th match minute, Peurye was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rene Maire to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Peurye's zone, Gilles Hanin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronald Cuvillier came out of the goal and Gilles Hanin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gilles Hanin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Augustin Cayol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Ronald Cuvillier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Henaff in the 71st minute of play forced Denain's goalkeeper Tanguy Queval to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Augustin Cayol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ronald Cuvillier was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Ronald Cuvillier stood somewhat misplaced when Augustin Cayol came free in front of goal and shot 0-1 to the left of him in the 78 minute.
