Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Denain's Augustin Cayol started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Ascq's Yann Farcy got control of the ball when Gilles Hanin tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Augustin Cayol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yann Farcy was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Augustin Cayol was extremely unlucky when he, in the 10th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. A collision led to Ascq getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Andre Itier hit a great ball. Serge Hirel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Serge Hirel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Donatien Herbet hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 25th match minute, Ascq was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matheo Blas to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the game, Tommy Riff was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ascq's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Denain the free kick. The supporters of Denain booed when Ascq was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommy Riff didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gilles Hanin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Augustin Cayol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augustin Cayol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yann Farcy having to interfere. If Gilles Hanin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augustin Cayol in the 38th minute of play forced Ascq's goalkeeper Yann Farcy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yann Farcy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augustin Cayol in the 40th minute of play. Gilles Hanin took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yann Farcy. Yann Farcy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donatien Herbet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Gilles Hanin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yann Farcy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gilles Hanin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matheo Blas hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. When Ascq's Donatien Herbet in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Denain's goalie prevented a goal. If Augustin Cayol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geoffroy Coin hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Denain's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Donatien Herbet scored to the left of an out of position Tanguy Queval, making the score, 1-1. 91 minutes into the match, Ascq's goal looked a bit too open when Gilles Hanin came free, but Yann Farcy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
