The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Vaudherland's zone, Emile Mura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulysse Serres came out of the goal and Emile Mura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexis Groux charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexis Groux the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th match minute, Vaudherland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexis Groux to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Baudel's late challenge caught a Léguevin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Christopher Delaitre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ulysse Serres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christopher Delaitre, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Léguevin's Christopher Delaitre sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ulysse Serres narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ulysse Serres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emile Mura in the 36th minute of the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romuald Steinbach to make the kick off. Jason Biger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Hugo Lhomme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Emile Mura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the match, Jason Biger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hugo Lhomme. Léguevin's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jason Biger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Léguevin's Hugo Lhomme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jason Biger in the 87th minute of play. Emile Mura blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ulysse Serres having to make a save. Alexis Groux kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vaudherland's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Valentin Podevin was slow to take the kick. During this time Léguevin's players had a chance to rest. Valentin Podevin made a great header on Léguevin's corner, it was just that Vaudherland's Ulysse Serres managed to reach the ball for a save. Vaudherland's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
