Frouard's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leo Betremieux was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leo Betremieux got free with Jerome Kervella in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 16 minutes in the game, Leo Betremieux fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jerome Kervella having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valerien Bussy in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claude Guillois saved Frouard from getting behind. In the 55th minute, Valerien Bussy reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Claude Guillois. The goal made the score 0-2. Canabias's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Romaric Taddei was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After 100 played minutes Canabias got a freekick which was hit by Romuald Vibert.
