In the 17th minute, Jason Bouiller sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Asques's Jocelyn Boussuge didn't even have to move. In the 19th minute, Remi Vigouroux left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Asques fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Gilles Journe's late challenge caught a Asques's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilles Journe helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Velotte getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Gilles Journe hit a great ball. Darren Giguet charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Darren Giguet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Simon Beau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melvin Touitou in the 33rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Velotte defense, Melvin Touitou kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Simon Beau. The Velotte fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Simon Beau should have stopped the shot. Remi Vigouroux received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Jocelyn Boussuge was out of position in the 41 minute of play, and Constantin Boulenger capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Constantin Boulenger really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Constantin Boulenger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Constantin Boulenger to make the kick off. Constantin Boulenger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jocelyn Boussuge having to interfere. Jocelyn Boussuge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilles Journe, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After 64 played minutes, Asques's Samuel Placide shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Simon Beau came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Asques reached it. Maxence Cribier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jocelyn Boussuge read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Velotte's Constantin Boulenger got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 94 minutes into the game, Jacob Wrobel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Asques's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Velotte the free kick. In the 95th match minute, Asques was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacob Wrobel to maneuver through the defense.
