Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Louis Thomas got the match started through his kick off. After having played for 7 minutes, Jean-Francois Merlier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brédannaz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jean-Francois Merlier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marc-Aurèle Maugendre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Klotz having to interfere. Louis Thomas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Gabriel Roig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Marc-Aurèle Maugendre had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kevin Klotz. Brédannaz's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marc-Aurèle Maugendre was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Marc-Aurèle Maugendre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Klotz having to interfere. Louis Thomas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gabriel Roig came out and tried to block the shot, but Louis Thomas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 39th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Brédannaz's Louis Thomas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gabriel Roig. That made the score 2-2 after 42 minutes of play. Marc-Aurèle Maugendre recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
In the 53rd minute of the match, Patrick Goutorbe tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kevin Klotz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Stanislas Bernardet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brédannaz's supporters rose to their feet, but Stanislas Bernardet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabriel Roig breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jean-Francois Merlier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, Stanislas Bernardet notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Avignon's Gabriel Roig. Gabriel Roig was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Avignon's Gabriel Roig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Louis Thomas in the 75th minute of play. If Jean-Francois Merlier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the game, Brédannaz's Jean-Francois Merlier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gabriel Roig made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. Marc-Aurèle Maugendre struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Kevin Klotz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Avignon. After a defensive mix-up in Brédannaz's zone, Patrick Goutorbe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kevin Klotz came out of the goal and Patrick Goutorbe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 95th match minute, Brédannaz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stanislas Bernardet to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Brédannaz's zone, Patrick Goutorbe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kevin Klotz came out of the goal and Patrick Goutorbe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Brédannaz had won after a very even match.
