Perenchies's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Théodore Bretaudeau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph Gayral having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zinedine Bidaut in the 94th minute of play forced Perenchies's goalkeeper Marius Ravenel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
