The referee ignored Excenevex's protests and gave Gaetan Palmieri a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Excenevex's Gaetan Palmieri got a free kick in the 8th minute. Joffrey Delavaud was a little too slow when Guillaume Jaffre got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 1-1. Bruno Guigues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Duchesne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Excenevex's Bruno Guigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Duchesne in the 25th minute of play. A hard shot by Jason Descroix from long distance, 27 minutes into the match, got Joffrey Delavaud's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 36 minutes into the match, Excenevex's goal looked a bit too open when Pierre Chardon came free, but Bruno Guigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes into the game, Auby's Chris Duchesne nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bruno Guigues made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. If Guillaume Jaffre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

52 minutes into the match, Excenevex's goalkeeper Bruno Guigues had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pierre Chardon. Joffrey Delavaud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geoffrey Dauchy in the 55th minute of play. A collision led to Auby getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Florian Germe hit a great ball. If Pierre Chardon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pierre Chardon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Guigues having to interfere. Joffrey Delavaud showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guillaume Jaffre, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. When Auby's Chris Duchesne in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Excenevex's goalie prevented a goal. In the 77th minute, Marc-Antoine Mille made a precise shot to the right of Joffrey Delavaud. Auby's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. In the 81st match minute, Excenevex was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marc-Antoine Mille to maneuver through the defense. Pierre Chardon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bruno Guigues read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pierre Chardon got free with Bruno Guigues in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Geoffrey Dauchy struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Joffrey Delavaud didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Excenevex. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillaume Jaffre in the 96th minute of play forced Auby's goalkeeper Joffrey Delavaud to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
