In the 7th minute, Jean-Christophe Charlon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 8th minute, Gabriel Clauss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcel Coelho struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Lucas Carrel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gimeaux. After 10 minutes, Marcel Coelho made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Gouy's Lucas Carrel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Roger Rault received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Lucas Carrel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francois-Xavier Navet got free with Leo Mellier in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcel Coelho struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Lucas Carrel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Lucas Carrel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 31st match minute, Gouy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfred Nauleau to maneuver through the defense. Lucas Carrel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean-Christophe Charlon in the 42nd minute of the match. Gouy's Gilles Canevet suffered a sore thigh after 65 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Joey Lelievre fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gimeaux's protests and gave Joey Lelievre a yellow card for diving instead. 64 minutes into the game, one of Gimeaux:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Gimeaux:s Leo Mellier showed great skill when he stopped Sidney Pruvot:s penalty. In the 67th minute, Sidney Pruvot made a precise shot to the right of Leo Mellier. Gimeaux's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Gouy's Lucas Carrel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Gouy from getting a goal against them. When Gouy's Francois-Xavier Navet in 79 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Leo Mellier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Gouy's zone, Marcel Coelho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucas Carrel came out of the goal and Marcel Coelho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 87 minutes, Sidney Pruvot mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gouy and the Gimeaux players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 87 played minutes Gouy got a freekick which was hit by Sidney Pruvot. Jean-Philippe Mazuel charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jean-Philippe Mazuel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Gimeaux getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Jean-Philippe Mazuel hit a great ball. Lucas Carrel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Gouy supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Gimeaux's performance. The match ended with a win for Gimeaux.
