Paul Pecheur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaetan Mussard having to interfere. Noel Tripier hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Gaetan Mussard was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Fabian Cossin. With a little luck, Werppe's Gaetan Mussard got control of the ball when Paul Pecheur tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Montagny's Andre Lebel got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Raoul Blanchet took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Noel Desroches. Montagny's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience was convinced that Marvin Ballanger's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gaetan Mussard was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armand Brossard in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Noel Desroches saved Montagny from getting behind. 32 minutes into the match, Werppe's goalkeeper Gaetan Mussard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paul Pecheur. 33 minutes into the match, Montagny's Marvin Ballanger sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gaetan Mussard narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Honore Sylvain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noel Desroches having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Marvin Ballanger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Werppe getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Eric Aguillon hit a great ball. Werppe's Gaetan Mussard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marvin Ballanger in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Armand Brossard stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Charles Peyrou charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Charles Peyrou the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Werppe booed when Montagny was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles Peyrou didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paul Pecheur might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gaetan Mussard. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paul Pecheur ran back to his position shaking his head. Paul Pecheur scored 1-0 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gaetan Mussard, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Honore Sylvain could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Noel Desroches made a huge save. In the 77thth minute of the game Armand Brossard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montagny's Noel Desroches was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paul Pecheur in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaetan Mussard saved Werppe from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Werppe's zone, Paul Pecheur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaetan Mussard came out of the goal and Paul Pecheur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marvin Ballanger in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaetan Mussard saved Werppe from getting behind. When Paul Pecheur came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Montagny fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paul Pecheur couldn't finish the play. Paul Pecheur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Honore Sylvain got free with Noel Desroches in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
