The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Theo Lavaux the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Chessy protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Theo Lavaux had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 9th minute of the game. One of Chessy:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mure:s goal. Alix Jollet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 18 minutes, Georges Vincendeau mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chessy and the Mure players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Alix Pesnel fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chessy's protests and gave Alix Pesnel a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alix Pesnel in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antoine Pean prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Axel Chapuy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Xavier Lapotre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
