Reynald Courault recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Alban Dutheil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gazinet's supporters rose to their feet, but Alban Dutheil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Batiste Constant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 58th minute, Karim Nussbaum got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Gazinet's Alban Dutheil got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 65th minute Philippe Vauquelin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Schreiner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot by Desire Lebailly from long distance, 87 minutes into the match, got Batiste Constant's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Philippe Vauquelin in the 90th minute of play forced Gazinet's goalkeeper Albert Schreiner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 96th minute by Alban Dutheil got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Gazinet eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
