Mehdi Longuet came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Blanquefort's Paul-Henri Hauchecorne. But to his dismay, Paul-Henri Hauchecorne quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Simon Kuhn's late challenge caught a Blanquefort's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simon Kuhn helped the player get up and apologised. After 67 played minutes Avignon got a freekick which was hit by Simon Kuhn. Thierry Pate took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pierre Potiron. Pierre Potiron dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Thierry Pate sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alexandre Biret had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul-Henri Hauchecorne in the 87th minute of play forced Avignon's goalkeeper Mehdi Longuet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paul-Henri Hauchecorne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehdi Longuet having to interfere. Mehdi Longuet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paul-Henri Hauchecorne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
