An unexpected shot in the 4th minute by Youri Busch got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Junior Roguet kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Loic Payet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Moise Guillotte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karl Deleu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Côme Riquet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karl Deleu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Côme Riquet went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. If Loic Payet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, Herblay's Thomas Naud sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Karl Deleu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moise Guillotte in the 28th minute of play forced Herblay's goalkeeper Georges Réa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Salome booed when Herblay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Naud didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karl Deleu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Côme Riquet showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 38 minute of play. Hector Goin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Georges Réa. Herblay's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Côme Riquet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Herblay's supporters rose to their feet, but Côme Riquet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl Deleu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Moise Guillotte to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Batiste Darbon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Moise Guillotte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georges Réa having to interfere. Moise Guillotte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karl Deleu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Côme Riquet in the 67th minute of the match. After 72 minutes, Youri Busch made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Salome's Karl Deleu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Loic Payet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Georges Réa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. After some careless play in the Herblay defense, Moise Guillotte kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Georges Réa. The Herblay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Georges Réa should have stopped the shot. Loic Payet blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Georges Réa having to make a save. Herblay's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
