Dimitri Coutelle thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Richard Cailliau, a very annoying self made goal in the 7th minute which led to 0-1. Ahmid Loison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Remi Tauzin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Richard Cailliau read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Bixente Ragot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Remi Tauzin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Richard Cailliau having to make a save. Remi Tauzin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Remi Tauzin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Richard Cailliau was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. 40 minutes into the match, Holtzwihr's goal looked a bit too open when Paul Guyonnet came free, but Donovan Bourgeois reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donovan Bourgeois made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dorian Zerbib in the 45th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Donovan Bourgeois took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorian Zerbib, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 53rd match minute, Holtzwihr was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hector Voisin to maneuver through the defense. Donovan Bourgeois showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorian Zerbib in the 54th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Paul Guyonnet put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Donovan Bourgeois. Ahmid Loison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Richard Cailliau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 66 minutes, Paul Guyonnet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bouliac's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paul Guyonnet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 68th minute Paul Guyonnet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donovan Bourgeois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Ahmid Loison got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 75 minutes, Remi Tauzin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Holtzwihr and the Bouliac players grew even worse after the yellow card. Remi Tauzin kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Bouliac's Dorian Zerbib got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Richard Cailliau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remi Tauzin in the 82nd minute of play. If Paul Guyonnet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Holtzwihr's Donovan Bourgeois played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorian Zerbib in the 95th minute of play. Joseph Juif fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donovan Bourgeois having to interfere. Holtzwihr's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
