Lormont's Celestin Barre got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Lormont's zone, Jean-Paul Halgand stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hippolyte Zaidi came out of the goal and Jean-Paul Halgand tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emile Le Vaillants short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Hippolyte Zaidi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 63 minutes in the game, Mario Fuster fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Hippolyte Zaidi having to interfere. The supporters of Monnetier booed when Lormont was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Willy Jouannic didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Emile Le Vaillant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
