Patrick Cassier came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Bréauté's Adam Binard. But to his dismay, Adam Binard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 8 minutes into the match, Bréauté's goalkeeper Freddy Pohu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabien Thiry. In the 10th minute, Fabien Thiry got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fabien Thiry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Freddy Pohu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Fontenay's Freddy Pohu threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luc Convert, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some careless play in the Fontenay defense, Jean-Michel Hanquez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Patrick Cassier. The Fontenay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patrick Cassier should have stopped the shot. After 31 played minutes Fontenay got a freekick which was hit by Bastien Neveu. After 32 played minutes Bréauté got a freekick which was hit by Jean-Michel Hanquez. 36 minutes into the match, Bréauté's goal looked a bit too open when Luc Convert came free, but Freddy Pohu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jean-Michel Hanquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Freddy Pohu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabien Thiry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Freddy Pohu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The supporters of Bréauté booed when Fontenay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moise Fallet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jean-Michel Hanquez's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 64thth minute, Patrick Cassier skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 65 minutes into the game, Louison Sale was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fontenay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bréauté the free kick. Roman Magne charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 79 minutes of play Fontenay's Louison Sale was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Louison Sale hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute, Bastien Neveu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Bréauté had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
