In the 11th minute, Mathias Bataillard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 16th minute, Benjamin Almeras got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fabien Meurice might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Romuald Person. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fabien Meurice ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Benjamin Almeras's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Romuald Person was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Alphonse Philip charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alphonse Philip the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Herblay getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Alphonse Philip hit a great ball. Benjamin Almeras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benjamin Almeras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romuald Person having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Mathias Bataillard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Herblay's supporters rose to their feet, but Mathias Bataillard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeremy Homo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 47 played minutes Bignon got a freekick which was hit by Martial Berthaud. 48 minutes into the match, Herblay's Pierre-Emmanuel Male sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jeremy Homo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Bignon players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Herblay were winning 0-1.
The wind increased when Benjamin Almeras made the kick off in the second half. Benjamin Almeras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romuald Person having to interfere. Herblay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bignon the free kick. When Dylan Lacoste fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bignon's protests and gave Dylan Lacoste a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Herblay booed when Bignon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dylan Lacoste didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Pierre-Emmanuel Male had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 81 minutes of play Herblay's Alban Jeunet was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. If Benjamin Almeras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bignon's Samy Dutot couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 91st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Herblay. Benjamin Almeras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romuald Person having to interfere. After having played for 97 minutes, Pierre-Emmanuel Male managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Herblay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pierre-Emmanuel Male was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
