Rudy Villemagne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serge Milin in the 4th minute of play. Joe Bachelet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Brendan Lebreton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antoine Belmondo during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 14th minute, Antoine Belmondo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Serge Milin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the game, Anthony Couve was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Essars's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Moutonne the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Essars fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 19th minute. Penalty! If Pierre-Olivier Colon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antoine Belmondo kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Joe Bachelet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Brendan Lebreton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Serge Milin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the match, Moutonne's goalkeeper Brendan Lebreton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pierre-Olivier Colon. Joe Bachelet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th minute, Joe Bachelet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Essars booed when Moutonne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincent Mouche didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joe Bachelet in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brendan Lebreton saved Moutonne from getting behind.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joe Bachelet to make the kick off. Rudy Villemagne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hervé Serre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Joe Bachelet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moutonne's Brendan Lebreton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joe Bachelet in the 59th minute of play. Hervé Serre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Rudy Villemagne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 69th minute of the game. One of Essars:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Moutonne:s goal. Rudy Villemagne had in the 70thth minute some difficulties stopping Mike Seillier's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Rudy Villemagne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hervé Serre in the 71st minute of the match. Hervé Serre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudy Villemagne having to interfere. Serge Milin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Moutonne's zone, Joe Bachelet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brendan Lebreton came out of the goal and Joe Bachelet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rudy Villemagne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hervé Serre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hervé Serre in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rudy Villemagne saved Essars from getting behind. With an all-out effort, Moutonne's Rudy Villemagne threw himself towards the right post 98 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hervé Serre, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
