Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alix Leroi started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute of the match Corentin Moll shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sylvain Le Bon showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alix Leroi might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sylvain Le Bon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alix Leroi ran back to his position shaking his head. Serge Jacobs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Flandin in the 18th minute of play. Hugues Calmel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alix Leroi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Sylvain Le Bon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Serge Jacobs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yvan Vrignaud, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Publier's Alix Leroi got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alix Leroi in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sylvain Le Bon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Serge Jacobs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Flandin in the 42nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Yvan Vrignaud's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Serge Jacobs was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When Jonathan Flandin came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Meudon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan Flandin couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Flandin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Meudon getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Yves Boudoux hit a great ball. If Hugues Calmel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugues Calmel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sylvain Le Bon having to interfere. Yvan Vrignaud struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Serge Jacobs didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Meudon. Hugues Calmel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sylvain Le Bon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Meudon's goalkeeper Sylvain Le Bon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Publier manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Meudon to win.
