Emilien Danel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 9 minutes into the match, Jimmy Vuillermoz notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Viroflay's Eliott Jacquier. Eliott Jacquier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 19 minutes into the game, Roger Tailliez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Gilbert Vedrenne was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 29 minutes into the match, Courneuve's goal looked a bit too open when Emilien Danel came free, but Gilbert Vedrenne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Plantier in the 44th minute of play forced Viroflay's goalkeeper Eliott Jacquier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the game, Walter Ray was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Courneuve's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Viroflay the free kick. After 46 played minutes Courneuve got a freekick which was hit by Walter Ray. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raphael Plantier was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Viroflay's goal looked a bit too open when Raphael Plantier came free, but Eliott Jacquier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Roger Tailliez came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Viroflay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roger Tailliez couldn't finish the play. If Raphael Plantier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Viroflay's Erwan Guilbert got a free kick in the 66th minute. Emilien Danel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Gilbert Vedrenne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Courneuve's Walter Ray got his second yellow card of the match in the 71st minute. The referee ordered Walter Ray off the ground. After 72 played minutes Courneuve got a freekick which was hit by Walter Ray. Jimmy Vuillermoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliott Jacquier having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Courneuve's goalkeeper Gilbert Vedrenne had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emilien Danel. In the 78th match minute, Courneuve was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustin Larcher to maneuver through the defense. Jimmy Vuillermoz struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Eliott Jacquier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Courneuve. Emilien Danel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Gilbert Vedrenne made a huge save. In the 89th minute, Raphael Plantier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilbert Vedrenne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Tailliez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jimmy Vuillermoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Jimmy Vuillermoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
