The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabien Dumoutier during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ghislain Garcin got free with Rémy Fritz in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dimitri Sionneau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Djibril Bely to strike the kick off in the second half. After 94 played minutes Pouvourville got a freekick which was hit by Ludovic Hauchecorne. Pouvourville's Rémy Fritz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ghislain Garcin in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Pouvourville eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
