To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ronald Body showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidney Saint-Pierre in the 41st minute of the match. Gaspard Gagnepain hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Boissiere to strike the kick off in the second half. Anthony Brillouet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Ronald Body tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anthony Brillouet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronald Body having to interfere. If Sidney Saint-Pierre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Florent Luciani fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ifs's protests and gave Florent Luciani a yellow card for diving instead. Joel Boissiere might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Romeo Vigneau. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joel Boissiere ran back to his position shaking his head. Joel Boissiere sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Romeo Vigneau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Boissiere, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Quiévrechain walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
