Carl Murat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Patrice Vallet's late challenge caught a Armoy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bryan Meissonnier kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Annemasse's goal looked a bit too open when Alphonse Pau came free, but Lucien Lauga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Annemasse's goalkeeper Lucien Lauga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Annemasse eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
