Firmin Bessieres was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vosves's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Franck Chapot in the 10th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Sallaumines's goal looked a bit too open when Yvan Chamard came free, but Firmin Bessieres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jules Seigneur in the 19th minute of play forced Sallaumines's goalkeeper Firmin Bessieres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Mario Lamalle fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sallaumines's protests and gave Mario Lamalle a yellow card for diving instead. Mario Lamalle hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. If Anthony Delafosse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jules Seigneur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the match, Sallaumines's goal looked a bit too open when Anthony Delafosse came free, but Firmin Bessieres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raymond Gallier received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Djimmy Veysset came out and tried to block the shot, but Raymond Gallier slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 27th minute. When Raymond Gallier fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sallaumines's protests and gave Raymond Gallier a yellow card for diving instead. In the 30th minute, Raymond Gallier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anthony Delafosse's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Firmin Bessieres read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Firmin Bessieres stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anthony Delafosse's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. If Francis Verdet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Anthony Delafosse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vosves's supporters rose to their feet, but Anthony Delafosse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Firmin Bessieres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Raymond Gallier made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 56 minutes, Anthony Delafosse managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vosves's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anthony Delafosse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Vosves defense, Raymond Gallier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Djimmy Veysset. The Vosves fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Djimmy Veysset should have stopped the shot. Sallaumines's Raymond Gallier got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Anthony Delafosse came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Vosves fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anthony Delafosse couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Jules Seigneur managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vosves's supporters rose to their feet, but Jules Seigneur was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Firmin Bessieres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 72nd minute, Sallaumines's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Anthony Delafosse fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Sallaumines's Raymond Gallier got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Felicien Pradelles struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Djimmy Veysset didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sallaumines. In the 79th match minute, Vosves was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jules Seigneur to maneuver through the defense. Yvan Chamard hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Raymond Gallier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Djimmy Veysset having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Vosves's goal looked a bit too open when Raymond Gallier came free, but Djimmy Veysset reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yvan Chamard during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Raymond Gallier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mario Lamalle got his second yellow card in the match during the 96th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Sallaumines's Mario Lamalle got a free kick in the 97th minute. 99 minutes into the game, Francis Verdet cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Firmin Bessieres was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
