Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Florian Riboulet started the match with the kick off. Alban Josset's late challenge caught a Miramar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alban Josset helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Gières's Alban Josset got a free kick in the 3rd minute. A collision led to Gières getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Tanguy Beranger hit a great ball. Didier Auriol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florian Riboulet in the 12th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Gières defense, Florent Berthelon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Didier Auriol. The Gières fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Didier Auriol should have stopped the shot. Tanguy Beranger struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Vincent Durin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gières. With a little luck, Miramar's Vincent Durin got control of the ball when Jacques Froidefond tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vincent Durin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tanguy Beranger's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Jacques Froidefond recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Miramar's Thierry Le Vaillant got a free kick in the 30th minute. Jacques Froidefond was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 32nd minute. Gières's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Jacques Froidefond's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Vincent Durin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Charles Panis kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. When Tanguy Beranger came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Gières fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tanguy Beranger couldn't finish the play. Tanguy Beranger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Vincent Durin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tanguy Beranger stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th match minute, Miramar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ludovic Bonnefoy to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Miramar's zone, Tanguy Beranger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vincent Durin came out of the goal and Tanguy Beranger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 63 minutes into the match, Miramar's goal looked a bit too open when Tanguy Beranger came free, but Vincent Durin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Miramar's Thierry Le Vaillant got a free kick in the 69th minute. Tanguy Beranger struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Vincent Durin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gières. In the 71st minute, Alix Passet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jacques Froidefond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute, Jacques Froidefond ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vincent Durin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Florian Riboulet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Didier Auriol having to interfere. Didier Auriol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florian Riboulet in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Florian Riboulet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Miramar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Florent Berthelon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Gières's zone, Florent Berthelon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Didier Auriol came out of the goal and Florent Berthelon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Miramar's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
