When Octave Bernadet fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dieppedalle's protests and gave Octave Bernadet a yellow card for diving instead. Octave Bernadet hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Jacques Thepault managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rémelange's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacques Thepault was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ludovic Clairet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donald Dehan in the 11th minute of play forced Rémelange's goalkeeper Brice Belval to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute, Rémelange's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Octave Bernadet fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 15 minutes into the match, Rémelange's goal looked a bit too open when Donald Dehan came free, but Brice Belval reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacques Thepault received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ludovic Clairet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacques Thepault fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ludovic Clairet having to interfere. Brice Belval made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Octave Bernadet sent off a good shot on target. Rémelange's Brice Belval played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donald Dehan in the 32nd minute of play. Donald Dehan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Brice Belval tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Dieppedalle defense, Benjamin Antoine kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ludovic Clairet. The Dieppedalle fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ludovic Clairet should have stopped the shot. After the first half Rémelange were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Benjamin Antoine made the kick off in the second half. Ludovic Clairet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Antoine in the 52nd minute of the match. After 54 played minutes Dieppedalle got a freekick which was hit by Eymeric Parodi. A hard shot by Yannick Vilcot from long distance, 55 minutes into the match, got Ludovic Clairet's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Harry Chretien was extremely unlucky when he, in the 58th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octave Bernadet in the 63rd minute of play forced Rémelange's goalkeeper Brice Belval to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67thth minute of the game Benjamin Antoine who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dieppedalle's Ludovic Clairet was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 68 minutes into the game, Emeric Farrugia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dieppedalle's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rémelange the free kick. The supporters of Rémelange booed when Dieppedalle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emeric Farrugia didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Rémelange walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
