Eddy Beaujard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rene Aymes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dave Baur having to interfere. Raphaël Bavay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rene Aymes got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 1-0 in the right cross in the 13th match minute before Dave Baur had time to react. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruce Labatut in the 18th minute of play forced Marclaz's goalkeeper Eddy Beaujard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raphaël Bavay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eddy Beaujard read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. In the 23rd minute Raphaël Bavay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddy Beaujard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Léognan's Henri Marchadier got a free kick in the 25th minute. Dave Baur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronald Giot in the 30th minute of the match. Rene Aymes's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dave Baur firmly grabbed it by the left post. A collision led to Léognan getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Carl Portes hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Léognan's zone, Ronald Giot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dave Baur came out of the goal and Ronald Giot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eddy Beaujard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruce Labatut in the 40th minute of the match. Fabrice Landreau's late challenge caught a Léognan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabrice Landreau helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Marclaz getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Fabrice Landreau hit a great ball. When Bruce Labatut came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Léognan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruce Labatut couldn't finish the play. In the 46th minute, Rene Aymes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 47th match minute, Léognan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonin Tallon to maneuver through the defense.

Marclaz's Ronald Giot got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute Rene Aymes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Baur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on Marclaz's corner Carlos Plet fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dave Baur quite easily take care of the ball. Dave Baur didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ronald Giot went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Marclaz's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
