Barnabe Bontemps's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gérald Hubert read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 5 minutes into the game, when Jordan Saurat put in a rough tackle. In the 5th minute, one of Verel:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Verel. Dorian Garcia charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dorian Garcia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Flavien Lacrouts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 16 minutes into the match, Verel's goal looked a bit too open when Flavien Lacrouts came free, but Franck Blaison reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flavien Lacrouts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franck Blaison having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Cyril Lachaise got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Villiers's Lucien Pousse got a free kick in the 21st minute. Verel's Cyril Lachaise got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Ernest Knockaert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Verel's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernest Knockaert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gérald Hubert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Cyril Lachaise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Flavien Lacrouts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Franck Blaison showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorian Garcia in the 29th minute of the match. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Verel's goalkeeper Franck Blaison, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Igor Verdonck hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, Verel's Cyril Lachaise dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. 37 minutes into the match, Dorian Garcia notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Verel's Franck Blaison. Franck Blaison was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dorian Garcia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Franck Blaison came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Villiers's Flavien Lacrouts. But to his dismay, Flavien Lacrouts quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cyril Lachaise made a kick off. Franck Blaison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavien Lacrouts, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Alfred Lorentz hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Verel's Alfred Lorentz got a free kick in the 59th minute. 61 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Villiers's Flavien Lacrouts fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Franck Blaison made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Dorian Garcia sent off a good shot on target. Gérald Hubert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cyril Lachaise, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Désiré Noguès received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Franck Blaison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Verel's zone, Flavien Lacrouts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franck Blaison came out of the goal and Flavien Lacrouts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cyril Lachaise sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
