Suresnes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tourcoing the free kick. Noel Leleux kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. During the 18th minute of the match Noel Leleux completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Noel Leleux a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 18th minute, Noel Leleux hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Bras in the 19th minute of play forced Suresnes's goalkeeper Olivier Bareille to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Suresnes's Teddy Flambard got a free kick in the 20th minute. The referee gave Tourcoing a penalty, 23 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Joel Beaucamp, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Suresnes's Olivier Bareille. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Bras in the 27th minute of play forced Suresnes's goalkeeper Olivier Bareille to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute Tourcoing were awarded a corner. Joel Beaucamp went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Tourcoing's Davy Prioul getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Suresnes's Olivier Bareille played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davy Prioul in the 29th minute of play. Olivier Bareille showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gael Gobillot in the 31st minute of the match. Bruce Pierrat struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Olivier Bareille didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tourcoing. In the 36th minute Gael Gobillot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olivier Bareille saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcel Freulon to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Tourcoing's Gael Gobillot slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Olivier Bareille. That made the score 0-4 after 55 minutes of play. Jeremy Stoll's late challenge caught a Suresnes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeremy Stoll helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Tourcoing's Jeremy Stoll got a free kick in the 66th minute. Gael Gobillot might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olivier Bareille. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gael Gobillot ran back to his position shaking his head. Gael Gobillot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Teddy Flambard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Thierry Miquel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Reda Lebeau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Tourcoing supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tourcoing would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
