The referee showed Jean-Charles Andrieu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Patrice Plantard was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jean-Christophe Wendling showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 33 minute of play. Mehdi Lancien made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antoine Delville in the 40th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andre Raison to strike the kick off in the second half. Mehdi Lancien made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antoine Delville in the 57th minute. Andre Raison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Mehdi Lancien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaspard Henrio kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Jean-Christophe Wendling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrice Plantard having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
