Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Grasse's Vincent Magniez started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Frederic Lebegue could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Lenny Wartel made a huge save. Louison Perennes kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Sidney Mertens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Vendargues booed when Grasse was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Louison Perennes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute, Sidney Magnon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Vincent Magniez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the game, Mario Sylla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vendargues's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grasse the free kick. Mario Sylla hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After having played for 15 minutes, Frederic Lebegue managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grasse's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frederic Lebegue was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucas Patrice in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Steve Couderc prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 33 minutes into the game, Lucas Patrice cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Steve Couderc was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 37 minutes, Robin Desmons mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vendargues and the Grasse players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Vendargues getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Robin Desmons hit a great ball. Frederic Lebegue received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Lenny Wartel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lenny Wartel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vincent Magniez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 40 minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Lucas Patrice made the kick off in the second half. Sidney Mertens in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Steve Couderc, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Steve Couderc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Patrice, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. If Lucas Patrice had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Grasse's goalkeeper Steve Couderc, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The corner led Vendargues's Wilfried Lorent to fire away a dangerous shot which Steve Couderc despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to Vendargues getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. José Barillet hit a great ball. If Frederic Lebegue had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vendargues's Sidney Mertens got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lenny Wartel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frederic Lebegue, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Sidney Mertens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vendargues's supporters rose to their feet, but Sidney Mertens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Steve Couderc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Grasse's Steve Couderc got control of the ball when Sidney Mertens tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 87 minutes, Sidney Mertens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vendargues's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sidney Mertens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 91st minute, Calvin Jeanmougin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Grasse fans' excitement grew in the 96th match minute when Grasse's Calvin Jeanmougin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
