After having played for 7 minutes, Henri Collange managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Limay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henri Collange was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 9th minute Ryan Tual shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelien Ziegler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 13 minutes into the game, when Julien Gilli put in a rough tackle. 12 minutes into the game, one of Limay:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Limay:s Aurelien Ziegler showed great skill when he stopped Ali Lardet:s penalty. A collision led to Hélesmes getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Jean-Cyrille Ritzenthaler hit a great ball. Aurelien Ziegler didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bérenger Chappaz went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Aurelien Ziegler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bérenger Chappaz's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. A hard shot 26 in the game by Henri Collange from a close distance when the talented Jacob Gallot managed to make a qualified save. Hélesmes's players were relieved. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ryan Tual in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aurelien Ziegler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 30 minutes into the game, Fred Plas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hélesmes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Limay the free kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ryan Tual made a kick off. Bérenger Chappaz struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Aurelien Ziegler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hélesmes. 56 minutes into the match, Limay's goal looked a bit too open when Ryan Tual came free, but Aurelien Ziegler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vivien Mazzoni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Jacob Gallot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bérenger Chappaz was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 64th minute. Hélesmes's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Roger Grattepanche fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Limay's protests and gave Roger Grattepanche a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th match minute, Limay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Grattepanche to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Ryan Tual's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aurelien Ziegler was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Jacob Gallot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henri Collange in the 68th minute of play. Henri Collange sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bérenger Chappaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 79th minute of the match Fred Plas completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Fred Plas a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Fred Plas hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Henri Collange fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacob Gallot having to interfere. Jacob Gallot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henri Collange in the 84th minute of play. Bérenger Chappaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 88 minutes, Alexis Butet mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Limay and the Hélesmes players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Hélesmes booed when Limay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexis Butet didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Bérenger Chappaz came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Hélesmes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bérenger Chappaz couldn't finish the play. The Limay supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Hélesmes's performance. The match ended with a win for Hélesmes.
