In the 3rd minute, Octave Luis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lamotte fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 6th minute, Maraval's Steven Vandaele dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Eugene Helou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martial Jousse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Francois-Xavier Pruvot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Maraval booed when Lamotte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Brulin didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Maraval's Francois-Xavier Pruvot threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eugene Helou, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eugene Helou got free with Francois-Xavier Pruvot in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Martial Jousse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Martial Jousse ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Francois-Xavier Pruvot was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Martial Jousse's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Francois-Xavier Pruvot skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Eugene Helou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eugene Helou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Francois-Xavier Pruvot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexandre Brulin during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Lamotte's Alexandre Brulin got a free kick in the 48th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Philippe Marron to strike the kick off in the second half. Michel Rogez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raphael Godon in the 53rd minute. Michel Rogez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Philippe Marron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francois-Xavier Pruvot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugene Helou, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Maraval's goal looked a bit too open when Philippe Marron came free, but Michel Rogez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maraval's Martial Jousse got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Remi Leterrier kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Philippe Marron in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michel Rogez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 95th minute, Philippe Marron fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Michel Rogez, passed just outside the right post. Maraval's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
