Cers's Gilles Jouniaux played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rene Hernandez in the 40th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prosper Quet in the 41st minute of play forced Solbre's goalkeeper Dan Giroux to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42ndth minute of the game Maxence Niquet who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Solbre's Dan Giroux was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Prosper Quet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Dan Giroux tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teddy Balland, 48 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Gilles Jouniaux showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charly Battut, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 68th minute, Prosper Quet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dan Giroux didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Prosper Quet went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Richard Connan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilles Jouniaux having to interfere. Maxence Niquet charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maxence Niquet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Cers players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
