Meythet's Brandon Moret played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bastien Perdriau in the 4th minute of play. Gerald Berard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Morgan Touitou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Morgan Touitou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerald Berard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Steve Dumay during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th match minute, Arnage was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steve Dumay to maneuver through the defense. Bruno Dardenne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bastien Perdriau in the 33rd minute of play forced Meythet's goalkeeper Brandon Moret to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Christophe Avril had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 36 minutes, Joris Lagache mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arnage and the Meythet players grew even worse after the yellow card. Christophe Avril sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Berenger Blanchin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meythet's supporters rose to their feet, but Berenger Blanchin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Morgan Touitou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Christophe Avril fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Morgan Touitou having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul Vauchel in the 46th minute of play forced Meythet's goalkeeper Brandon Moret to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 48 minutes, Christophe Avril managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Meythet's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christophe Avril was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christophe Avril to make the kick off. Brandon Moret showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bastien Perdriau in the 55th minute of the match. If Christophe Avril had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bastien Perdriau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Meythet's Brandon Moret proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Meythet from getting a goal against them. Brandon Moret made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Paul Vauchel sent off a good shot on target. After 75 minutes of play, Meythet's Christophe Avril made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Morgan Touitou was left in no man's land by his defense there! Paul Vauchel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Brandon Moret when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Bastien Perdriau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Brandon Moret tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paul Vauchel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Brandon Moret made a huge save. The supporters of Arnage booed when Meythet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berenger Blanchin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brandon Moret came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Arnage's Paul Vauchel. But to his dismay, Paul Vauchel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Arnage's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
