Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Laneuvelotte's Renaud Guesdon started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jean-Marie Boissier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luka Coget, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 9 minutes into the game, Dan Peeters was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Laneuvelotte's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gaillard the free kick. The supporters of Gaillard booed when Laneuvelotte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Peeters didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jean-Marie Boissier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luka Coget, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Laneuvelotte's goal looked a bit too open when Stephane Anton came free, but Jean-Marie Boissier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Gaillard's goal looked a bit too open when Renaud Guesdon came free, but Gildas Rochat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gildas Rochat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renaud Guesdon in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renaud Guesdon in the 23rd minute of play forced Gaillard's goalkeeper Gildas Rochat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th match minute, Laneuvelotte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugues Pavan to maneuver through the defense. Gildas Rochat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stephane Saint-Germain in the 34th minute of play. Luka Coget received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Jean-Marie Boissier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the game, Carl More recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jean-Marie Boissier. Carl More showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Stephane Anton's late challenge caught a Laneuvelotte's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stephane Anton helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Gaillard's Stephane Anton got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Renaud Guesdon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gildas Rochat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renaud Guesdon in the 48th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The wind increased when Luka Coget made the kick off in the second half. If Stephane Saint-Germain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luka Coget sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tristan Houriez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Gildas Rochat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute Luka Coget shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean-Marie Boissier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Gaillard's Gildas Rochat got control of the ball when Stephane Saint-Germain tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luka Coget fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean-Marie Boissier having to interfere. Carl More received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Jean-Marie Boissier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gildas Rochat stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Renaud Guesdon's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. After having played for 79 minutes, Renaud Guesdon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Laneuvelotte's supporters crossed their fingers, but Renaud Guesdon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 81st match minute, Laneuvelotte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stephane Saint-Germain to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute, Carl More left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gaillard fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Carl More fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean-Marie Boissier having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Gaillard had won after a very even match.
